When Vail was building their Glen Lyon pump house, they opted to include 2000A switchboards, 150A panelboards and 45kVA transformers on the prefabricated pump station skids for a quicker, easier and less costly installation.

Panelboard for subdivision water supply pump house
A turn-key, prefabricated pump station was the request of Nickerson Pump Company, Salt Lake City, Utah. Instead of subcontracting the panelboard for the pump station, the specifications required it to be a part of the pump skid.

A new reservoir and expanding snowmaking system in 2006 led to the installation of a Torrent designed prefabricated pump skid, complete with a main lug 2500A switchboard and a 5 kVA transformer, both supplied by Square D.
